My Art
Through Chaos Studio I produce original artwork that could be described as a mix of abstract, surreal, and exquisite corpse. It’s not entirely raw, but perhaps only lightly toasted.
Me In a Nutshell
My name is William Jacobson. For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by art and science. Among my ongoing interests are emergent properties of complex systems and chaos theory. I won’t overexcite you by going into the details of these fields, but suffice it to say, they have greatly influenced me and my art. The Madelbrot Set, a fractal image created from a well-known mathematical algorithm, is a great example of the artistic beauty inherent in math and science.
Fittingly, I have appropriated this famous fractal as the inspiration for the signature I use on all my artwork (its also used in the header of this site). I hope you enjoy the samples of my work displayed in the gallery and thanks for stopping by.
Best Regards,
William Jacobson
